Meet our Walking Group

Ravin' Ramblers is a walking group which was initiated at St Oswald's and now encapsulates people from varied backgrounds who socialise with parishioners from St Oswald's.

The walks are open to all, and we encourage everyone to bring their friends along. Ranging from quite easy to more strenuous, most walks will accommodate all level of walkers, and we certainly aim to include anyone with an interest in walking, and the outdoors, to join us.

If you don’t fancy a walk at all, you can always join us for lunch!

Anglesea walk Sept 2023

Walking Group: Next Walk, Saturday 13th April ,2024

We have not done the walk on the coastline of Port Phillip Bay for many years. Time we did that walk again. There is very attractive coastal vegetation along the pedestrian path and walking south we can enjoy the views of the Bay, and on the walk back we have the panorama of the Melbourne skyline.

Time and place of meeting: We will meet for lunch at 12.30pm near the St Kilda Marina (Melway 57K12), in the MO Moran Reserve ( on the south side of the Marina). There are a couple of park bench seats there, but not enough. So, if you can, please bring a folding chair.

Parking: There is free parallel parking on both sides of Marine Parade. There is also free parking in the following side streets: Dickens St., Thakeray St., Marine Ave., and Meredith St. There is a large off-street parking area next to the Marina with a flat charge of $6,-per day.

After lunch we will walk southward along the coastline to the terminus of North Road, where we will have coffee at the North Point Café (2B North Road). The return walk will follow the same path.

Total distance of walk, there and back is c. 6km.

Toilets: at: -Just south of Pt. Ormond;
