Preparing for an AI future

Chris Mulherin writes of an event on 16 March 2024. I am writing to let you know about an upcoming event in Melbourne designed to prepare Christians for a future dominated by artificial intelligence. I know not all of you are in Melbourne, but you may like to pass on this invitation or to wait for the recordings.

Together with Scots’ Church Melbourne, we at ISCAST (Christianity and Science in Conversation) are hosting AI x Christianity: Gospel Wisdom for an AI World, an evening event on the 16th of March with two esteemed speakers plus me (!) and a panel discussion. We'll explore topics such as:

  • The future of AI and its disruptive potential

  • The good and bad of AI, and what it means for humans

  • How the Bible can shape our view of an AI world

  • How to approach AI with godly wisdom, and the challenges that come with it
